IBD Special Interest Group

The IBD Special Interest Group is designed for investors interested in learning more about the " Investors Business Daily " newspaper and how to take advantage of the published strategies within your own personal portfolios, IRAs & 401(k)s.

Held as a round table format, our discussion group analyzes stocks, ETFs and mutual funds from the newspaper, along with the industry groups leading the market.  Each attendee is encouraged to comment on specific IBD stocks, or to demonstrate strategies they have found to be helpful. Attendees are not required to present.

The goal of each meeting is to determine the direction of the market, indicate the strongest sectors or industries, and compile an ongoing watchlist of potential buy candidates.  Chart patterns, support & resistence points and technical analysis tools (through Telechart TC2000) help guide the discussions.

Who should attend?

AAII SIG meetings are open to the public and are not limited to Investor Business Daily subscribers or to AAII members.  Novices, as well as seasoned investors, benefit from the ideas and insights presented.

Meeting time and location

Meetings begin at 7:00pm and end at 9:00pm.  All meetings are held at the Comfort Inn Pittsburgh East (Comfort Inn Directions). A modest entry fee covers room and equipment costs.
